The Stock Market Swing Orchestra

will take you back to those swinging days of flappers, speakeasies, and doing the Charleston til dawn. Playing the best popular music of the 1920s,1930s, and 1940s, The Stock Market Swing Orchestra is an 11-piece jazz-age dance band that recreates the golden era of swing.

Created in 2016 for the "Forever Hotel Syracuse" Gala, the band performs the best in swing-era classics. Comprised of some of Syracuse's finest musicians, The Stock Market Swing Orchestra not only sounds authentic, it looks authentic, sporting vintage bandstands and accessories including a 1930s-styled suspension microphone and vintage mutes

for the brass section.

The band's library consists of several hundred authentic vintage arrangements from the Great American Songbook, including well-known and lesser-known tunes of the era. Classic tunes from greats such as Glenn Miller, Tommy

and Jimmy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Rudy Vallee, Fletcher Henderson, Harry James, Bunny Berigan, Fred Astaire,

and Bing Crosby form the backbone of the group's

repertoire.

Bandleader Jeff Stockham is regarded as one of the

region’s star musicians and has been a mainstay of the Syracuse-area jazz, pop, and commercial music scene for decades.

The Stock Market Swing Orchestra is available for concerts and for your high-class party, wedding, fund-raiser, or other event. Get ready to "Party Like It's 1929!"
